hey! to all!! yesterday my servant came rushing to me . He requested me to take him to market and get him new cloths. I asked him -why he want new one?? and he laughed and said "didi holi hai, apko ko toh na holi ki fekar na diwali ka intezaar..Ap log toh sirf kitab hi padha karte ho!" . At that time i said nothing to him but quitely took him to market and got him a set of new cloth.. The market was all teeming with bright colours and pickaries and other stuffs...
I suddenly thought what a weird celebration is this?? Painting our fellows face with multi colour gulal and than latter struggling to get it clear off!! really what a weird celebration is this?? but than again i was bit dazed thinking who is weird me or the world outside??
I hav read around 1000 kgs of book till now n hav gained much materialistic knowledge too! Now i prefer to have coffee over tea, pizza over paratha, parties over "tohhaar". I think its my and pretty much urtoo tough of warfor me between tradition, culture and "myself". Why we are not allowed to do what we want, what pleases me rather than to the world outside..Why are we more bothered about our society fake happiness than our enthereal contentment!! And who is weird me or the world outside. I really have no enthusiam for holi but is maniacly waithing for my xmas that are due in april...
When will this tough of war will get over between our tradition and myself?? between our societies' mindset and my point of view. And why is the unruly and ignorant waits in such "hyper" way for any festivals..Why are we left with demnishing energy to celebrate the festival??? Why??why??why??
come to my rescue,apoorva

hi apoorva.........
i guess u r right to some extent...and there is a big rift between our soulful happiness and the one we show in such stilted festivals. But sometimes i feel these festivals also give us a reason to smile in this stressful world and moreover it gives a free holiday yaar...ha ha ha ha

NO doubt in it...But im saying if v can make Hurr-dang and hungama in holi-that i think is the only festival where u can across any limit of decency than whatzz wrong in celeb. 14 feb.???
2. Why we are always restrained to do watever we want???? Nomatter how much u urge ppl not to throw colour at u no one will listen u even ur family members' too.?? WHY?? ITs "Tohhaarrr".Whtzz wrong in party than??
3. My struggle and war with my tradition n myself?? In life i really want to do many many many things that this "traditional"world would never let me do..
IF I ACHIEVE MY SOULFUL HAPPINESS THROUGH LIVING LIFE AT MY PROMISES THAN WHATZZ WRONG IN it???????

luv u...............
jindagi haar kadam ek nai jang hai. aakir aap ko full freedom of expression mil hi gayi. hum sochtey thay tum samaghdar ho. but yaha tum apni badhas nikal rahi ho. it's my opion u think as a communist. agar tumko yeh sab kharb lagta hai to samaj ki aur gandgio ko kaise dur karogi. mudda yeh nahi hai ki hal kon kare, muddha yeh hai ki pahal kaun kare. koi baat buri lage to maafi chata hu but now u need read some good thinkers. is society se say peecha nahi chuda sakti ho. Agar kuch karne ki soch rahi to thano aur usse kar key dikhao. my best wishes alwys with u.
reply to "kranti ki patrkarita".i Think u need to reconsider the word "communist". There is lot of difference between what we say n what we do!!! Take the example of yours!! For example R u totally satisfied with the univ?? NO!! but again u can't help it Coz somewhere u to hav to follow sum restriction as student!!
Any answer?????????Why???????kyu????
shayad hum bhartiya log apni parampra nahi bhule hai. yeh sahi hai ki ek fish pure Talab ko ganda kar deti hai. but uska ant bhi bura hi hota hai. ho sakta hai ki tumhare saath aisa hi kuch huwa ho. but abhi bhi tumhari cheeks par rang lagane wali baat se shmat nahi hu. kyoki kisi ko bhi rang lagane ka means yeh nahi hai ki uske pecchey woh kya sochraha hai. aaj bhi humare samaj me inti sabyata hai ki uspar ugli uttane wali ki chaar ugilya usi ki taraf hoti hai. apoorva tumko kya ho gaya hai i don't know. but saw the society with open eyes.
reply to Kranti KI part..
well by God's Grace i havn't encountered such enbrassing situation yet n never hopes to face in future too... but i hav met many ppl who r not fortunate enough like me n as faced incidentrs of eve teasing on this (for U) glorious occasion- its for them but i feel really sorry for u that u see the world wid half opened eyes n wid half mindness too!! neither u perseved me in the sense i intended my visiters to look at this blog..I feel really sorry for that too!!
I m too normal Tradiotional indian n really lov to enjoy festival with its full fervour coz i think im few of the lucky enough that god has given me reason to enjoy n smile and celebrate wid my dear n near ones.. Let me take u the nuances of this post now .I m trying to say that sometimes we want to do many things in our life that brings us our eternal contentment n happiness nut unfortunately sometimes to gain that our eternal contentment we hav to stake our tradition n normal thinking.. Its a chash between ourself n the world outside coz it may b the reason tat our decision is not accepted by them!! For example i played holi really horribly but if u its not on my wish ... I wud b more happy to stay away from colours but if i hav done that the world will call me "modernized" n "girl is now forgeting her tradiotion" tht what i hate n that what i m asking that why r we not allowed to do whtaever we want to doo!! there r endless no. of case that i can site here.
2) Some ppl really spoil the festival mood by their indecent move!! OR i its the majority approach that i see crossing decency limit..If we can celebrate holi crossing our decency level than whatzz wrong in celebrating valentile day than??? COz in that tat day too many of us who know the really maening of the day celebrate it in tht spirit ..Whatzz wrong in that day than??
I think i hav tried enough to make my point of view clear n if u again but get it than i can say only one sentence that is "i can't help it"'
hello kaaju. i completly agree with you.. take an example recently mathura mein makhhan aur chach ki holi kheli gayi.. all this in the name of tradition but why people forget that in acuntry like india where people dont even have enough food to survive playing holi with milk in the name of tradition is nuinance for me.
one more thing, its true that celebrating without any reason is unworthy.. when several incidents tarnish the day.. no doubt some hooligans often use this festival wrongly can you imagine its safe enough for girls to even walk safely on road esply on holi day ?
think about it...
exactly iti..that what i mean though some miscreants tarnish the festive mood ,through majority of us cross the decency limit yet if u shun playing holi many educated yet "orthodox" ppl will call it "untraditional approach".!!!! ?How sad the story is??????
