Hats off to these dads too!!

IT’S NINE o’clock in the morning and Tarun, a software engineer, is busy in getting himself ready for a board meeting. He is wearing a nice business suit, a well-matched tie, has already picked up his car keys and carried a laptop on one shoulder and a Barbie school bag on other and simultaneously pushing a baby’s cradle too. Got confused with Tarun’s image?
Mom Tarun is a super dad managing home and two daughters single-handedly. Single motherhood is relatively accepted phenomenon, but what about single fatherhood? Have you ever thought about the fathers who had lost their wives in mid of their lives? In India, second marriage is still a taboo and stepmothers are still not really appreciated, so for those single dads it is tough to decide whether to go for second marriage or not, especially when you have children ahead!
GN Srivastava lost his wife when he was in his mid 40s; the eldest of his three children was in high school while the youngest in fifth standard. He says, “It was hard to cope with the situation as the loss was irreparable. Managing my three children alone was not at all an amicable settlement. I had to devote chunk time in understanding and forming a correct balance with my children’s and to keep the family unified and coordinated. I have to be more caution when taking up decision of my children as when you are a single parent your action can be easily impugn.”
Mothers are always the grandeur in the family and a child’s best friend. She gently wipes off the tears from your face and so lucidly brings back a smile with her careful ways, but what about dads without mom’s whats the big challenge for single dads?
For Tarun, who lost his wife, Kalpana, a couple of years back during the birth of their second child Redhima, life has been tough, when he has to get up early morning and pack tiffins for her 10 years old elder daughter Ritika. He adds, “Changing baby’s diaper and feeding up a child isn’t an easy task for many moms and when you are Mr Mom believe it or not, but it is the most exigent task that you ever got to do.”
When asked about why he hasn’t opted for second marriage, as his children are too small. Tarun asserts, “In the beginning, everyone forced me to opt for a second marriage as a girl-child desperately needs a mother to share all shades of experiences with her.” But Tarun stood firmly in his decision to not to go for second wedding.
He confesses, “I always intended to make a cozy and friendly relationship with his daughters, so that they could feel free to share their minute experiences starting from school tête-à-tête to first crush.” As he was continuing, little Redhima who is just two years old, now embrace him and asked him to sing a song. When asked whether he sings really well, he chuckles and says, “To fill the mom’s void, I have also crooned rhymes for my daughter’s sleep.”
Another single dad Rakesh Bharti, an engineer, too shares a very flexible and amicable relationship with his 15 years old son Ayush, who lost his mom four years back. At that time, he was not matured enough to accept the truth that his mother went quite far away never to return back. Bharti quotes that in initial stages it was hard to explain and Ayush often asked where has mom gone. One fine day, Bharti with heavy heart disclosed the rare truth to his son. Ayush has now very well adapted with his mother’s absence in his life and now too helps his father in managing home by helping his grand ma in kitchen and making a list of grocery items needed.
Anupam Srivastava courteous son of GN Srivastava sharing his bonding with his father commits that during the early days when his mother died he was feeling aloof. I have immense respect for my father that forbids us to communicate with him freely, but soon we realised that now he is the only parent for us in the whole world, so we need to start working on the relationship to develop a strong bond and to make father-son relation easy going. “Definitely the void left by my mother cannot be filled, but my dad did his best to nourish us in the best possible manner that we can expect a single dad to be!” he adds.
Motherhood is god’s gift, but these fathers have stood against all odds and have never let their children feel mother-less. They have being bestowing care and concern, and sometimes-exceeded mothers by far and large.
Undoubtedly these super dads have redefined fatherhood for mere feeling to expression. So all those who think that father is all about inspecting your report cards, admonish you for your’s mischievous deeds and managing office only think again! There are some super single dads who have gone beyond the edges of traditional fathers and are playing the role of Mr Mom very plumy.
Hats off to these single dads.

Love you Pa...

If you love ur dad n wants him to know his special place in ur life then go and speak ur love to him!! It seems that the world is going frenzy about June 15 , wid archies n gifts shows are inundated with endless gifting options and stuffs that guarantee to showcase ur fervour to ur dad. But still I wonder Is only 15, June is the only day to show ur dad his spl relevance in ur life? And what can we gift the person who has who gifted us our life!(Though I too brought my dad his fav item).

Everyones who meet my dad never holds him/her to say that moms are always good but only few lucky ones have a nice dad like mine!n I m really lucky( I really love these words)
My pappu is really my cutie pie and my sweatest heart. We share an amicable relationship as a daughter and father. I share all my talks with him varying from college babble to my office settlements to my dreams love affair!
My dad is not only my 'traditional' papa, he is my secret sharer, my younger brother(Bcoz sumtimes I act as a elder sister to him ha.ha.haa),my baby too( as I pampers him a lot) and yeah! I can never recall any mischievous deed that I did without his ally. And I not hesitant in commiting here that he is my royal and loyal supporter in all my deeds for which I got cold scolding from my mom. (I just hope that my mom doesn't read his post!) and lastly he is my stern competitor. How?? We always have a tough competition regarding whosoever complains first of each other's deeds so that the 'Chief Justice' of the house(mom yar) denounce her verdict of punishment to the culprits and chide the party whosoever found guilty. (ha.ha.ha..pardon me if I turned like a vakeel of any court, for matters)
Having said all that now I take this oppurtunity to admit that my pa is the best pa in this world, his thought, his idealogies can verily drag anyone to the pinnacle of success. The thoughts and behaviour that he has indoctrinated in me are really great, It has made me a good human being at large.
My heart has so much stuffs to speak about my dad but my mind has a reason to stop me here as you all could just shun reading any further therefore I'm giving a break here. But at last,I request my visitors to say a prayer for my dad coz recently he has sufferred sum severe health ailments.Please....
Dear pa,
I love you very much and thankyou for everthing!! Happy fathers day
With love and lots n lots of muah

Luckiest daughter of d world

April was too hot!! Why????????

Have you ever wondered why mercury is rising so erratically? Why there is such hysteria in earth’s climate? HT-PACE talked with member of India’s first scientific expedition to Arctic in year 2007 Dr.Dhuv Sen Singh to seek answers on some crucial climatic issues.

Dr.Sen asserted that increase and decrease in earth’s global temperature is a natural cycle and there are scientific conclusions that shows that glaciers during Pre-cabian (550 million years ago), Gondawan period (300 million yrs ago) and Pleistocene (1.1 million yrs ago) also retreated and melted down. Dinosaurs become extinct much before human arrival on the planet Earth. According to scientific theories extinction and origination of fauna and flora, retreation and advancement of glaciers, cold and warm, arid and humid stages of climate are natural phenomena. Yet we cannot deny the fact of human being are acting as a catalyst to upsurge the earth’s temperature. Though fluctuations in temperature are natural but man is continuously elevating the adverse effects of climatic changes. Human has been neglecting the environmental loss that is being happening on a name of development. If we continue to uncheck pollution, deforestation and excessive human intervention to nature than undoubtedly we are propelling ourselves on a verge to extinction. Excessive global warming can also contributes to bring in disastrous Ice Age that can also mark human extinction from the planet.

“Climatic pattern is like a wave of warm and cold tides. At present we are in climate of excessive heat in days to come what will be the pattern is still unknown to all? If we advance towards cold stage then there is nothing much to be worried about but if the trend of global warming will rise at such high rate than it definitely possess risk to human race. Therefore it should be our bounden duty towards our planet to opt for sustainable development of our nation and adopt basis measures to abate global warming ” adds Dr. Sen
.

What can you do to reduce Global warming?

Ø Stop using non-biodegradable items for domestic use.

Ø There are two sinks for Carbon dioxide: Trees and Rain. We cannot control rain so we should try to plant more trees to filter and purify our surrounding. Try to plant a tree atleast at your birthday.
Ø Turn off the lights when you leave a room. Use fluorescent bulbs in your room.
Ø Turn off your computer or the TV when you’re not using it. Unplug chargers when not in use.
Ø Wait until you have a lot of clothes to wash before using the washing machine.
Ø Don’t use the machine for one item just because it’s your favorite shirts
Ø Take shorter showers. Heating water uses energy.
Ø Close the blinds on a hot day if the sun is shining in. Dress lightly instead of turning up the air conditioning or use a fan.
Ø Dress warmly inside your house when it’s cold, instead of turning up the heat.
Ø Offer to help your parents keep the air filters on your AC and furnace clean.
Ø Walk short distances instead of asking for a ride in a car.

Oneness of God $ Oneness of religion-I Belive in Baha'i

Hey to all my dear friends this article is appreciated by and uploaded at bahaikinews.org. U Too enjoy the article and think about Baha'i Education in my view this is the best form of education that we can give to make this planet a wonderful place to live without any discrimination on cast, creed ,gender, religion basis...
THE ROLE OF EDUCATION IN DEVELOMENT OF WOMEN

No nation can achieve success unless education is accorded in all its citizens. Therefore, it is the bounden duty of parents to rear their children to be staunch in faith…For every praiseworthy deed is born out of the light of religion, and lacking this supreme bestowal the child will not turn away from any evil, nor will he draw nigh unto any good..
Could the students be brilliant and accomplished if the teacher is illiterates and ignorant? Mothers are the first educators of children, who establish virtues in the child’s inner nature. They encourages the child to acquire perfection and goodly manners, warn him against unbecoming qualities and encourage him to show forth resolve, firmness and endurance under hardships and to advance on the high roads of progress. Due regard for the educations of girls is, therefore, necessary. This is very important subject, and it should be administered and organized under the aegis of spiritual Assenbly….
Let the mothers consider that whatsoever concerneth the education of children is of the first importance. Thus shall these tender infants be nurtured at the breast of knowledge of GOD and His love. Thus shall they learn perseverance in all things, the will to advance, high mindness and high resolves, chastity and purity of life. Thus shall they be enabled to carry to a successful conclusion whatsoever they undertake and foster them to embrace Baha’I education.
Therefore it is incumbent upon the girls of this glorious era to be fully versed in the various branches of knowledge, in sciences and the arts and all the wonders of this pre-eminent time, that they may then educate their children and train them from their earliest days in the ways of perfection. Furthermore the education of women is more necessary important than that of man, for woman is the trainer of the child from its infancy. And if woman were imperfect then it will imply to a condition of imperfection in all mankind. If the educator were incompetent, the educated will be correspondingly lacking. This is evident and incontrovertible.
In proclaiming the oneness of mankind the taught that men and women are equal in the sight of GOD and that there this no distinction to be made between them .The only difference between them is due to lack of education and training .If woman is given opportunity of education, distinction and estimate of inferiority will disappear. Both the humans; both are endowed with potentialities of intelligence and embody the virtues of humanity in all human activity women does not manifest her natal prerogative, owing to lack of education and opportunity. But it has been objected by some that woman is not equally capable with man and is deficient by creation. Heretofore, women has been denied the right and privileged of equal development .If equal opportunity be granted her, there is no doubt she would be the peer of man .Why should a woman be left mentally undeveloped? Science is praiseworthy-whether investigated by the intellect of man or woman. So, little by little, woman be advanced, giving increasing evidence of equal capabilities with man-whether in scientific research, political ability or any other sphere of human activity. The conclusion is evident that woman has been outdistanced through lack of education and intellectual facilities.
Baha’u’llah has announced that inasmuch as ignorance and lack of education are barriers of separation among mankind, all must receive training and instruction. Universal education is a universal law. It is, therefore, incumbent upon every father to teach and instruct his children according to his possibilities. Equality of the sexes will be established in proportion to the increased opportunities afforded woman in this age, for man and woman are equally the recipients and endowment from GOD, the Creator. God has not ordained distinction between them in His consummate purpose. The education of child is compulsory …In addition to this widespread education each child must be taught a profession, art,or trade, so that every member of the community will be enabled to earn his own livehood.Workdone in the spirit of service is the highest form of worship. Devote ye particular attention to the school for girls, for the greatness of this wondrous Age will be manifested as a result of progress in the world of women.
Praised be God that there is now a school of this type in Tehran where young maidens can, through His bounty, receive an education and with all vigor acquire the accomplishments of humankind.
No nation can achieve success unless education is accorded all its citizens. Therefore, the decision-making agencies involved would do well to consider giving first priority to the education of women and girls. It should teach the concept of world citizenship as part of the standard education of every child.
A very important element in the attainment of such equality is Baha’u’lluh’s provision that boys and girls must follow same curriculum in schools. The house of Justice regards the need to educate and guide women in their primary responsibility. Your efforts should focus on helping them in their function as educators of the rising generation. Women should also be encouraged to attract husbands and male members of the family to Baha’I education. Gradually the spirit of unity and fellowship, as set forth in our teaching, will be reflected in the life of Baha’I families.

MY DIARY

Today im really sad my sweet little angel -my pinoo has gone back to her place two thousand kilometers away from me!! I"M quite in a mood to fight wid my God for all the injustice he has done to me!! I started cursing him first for why my pinoo has her workplace in chennai? I thought beyond and realized that God is really cruel to me and i turned more aggressive. I worked really hard during my 12th but still failed to cross 80%. I got a seat in dental but due to some unavoidable reason i can't join it n now im pursuing the course that i never intended to do .. Than in my sulk i turned to a mirror and saw im fat i again cursed god even more for that. I went on a rampage n sat down on my dinning table the found the food is not of my choice than what ?no doubt i again cursed God!! On thinking over all the injustice that my fate maker has rendered on me ,tears rolled down from my eyes and i cried really uncontrollably for many hrs.

Than suddenly i thought that someone has come near to me whom i can't touch but feel the presence. I realized my room was imbued with positive vibes and someone has answers for all my regrets. That was my inner self!! My inner self said me to SMILE for all that GOD has given to me. I realized im really lucky that my pinoo has a good job in the country where many are still unemployed and now has lost all hopes to get even one. I contrasted myself with those students who has attempted to commit suicide after they failed im xmas.Poor thinks that its the end of their lives. I gradually realized that im enjoying my course and now is quite happy with it and now i think its much better than opting a five year course in medical. For my fat solution!! who says im fat ?? I thanks God that my situation is millions times good than those who are physically handicapped or are visually impaired. those who have to depend on others n on their family members' for each step the take.. I have a mom who prepares yummy food for me and God as given me and my family enough resources that we can eat whatever we want.My inner soul contrasted me with the poor child at traffic signal who begs for a penny to have a one time meal. I condition is many times better than those who have starvation death..

After listening to my inner soul i realized what a fool i was?? My god has given me so many precious gift that i can't valued. Really what i fool i was?? I wiped off my tears Prayed and ask sorry from my lovely kind God for my fool thoughts.. I have so much to relish -resources,education and a wonderful family!! What more i can ask for?? I have just one word to say to Almighty that i "THANKYOU GOD!!"

Prity chain bird??? NO not again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Need of regulation for press

As said, “Freedom is the oxygen of soul” in a same way, freedom of media is the oxygen of this independent nation. In today’s world (at least in India) media’s role and responsibility that it has contributed in the success of nation is commendable. “When liberty is gone life become insipid and lost its relish”, the case is same with media. If the government will restrict media then it will become insipid and will become extinct in coming years.

Mass media systems of the world vary with economy, politics, religion and culture of the societies. In countries like the former USSR and China where communalism and totalitarism form of governance prevails, media is enforced or chained with many limitations. This limitation clearly shows their governance fear of revolution through the power of media. On contrary, in countries like USA that have bourgeois democracy media is not imposed with limitations. Indeed, in a democracy, which India has, the freedom of press should be ensured at all cost. Mahatma Gandhi in this context once said “ Democracy of press or Press for democracy”. India had witnessed the power of press during pre-independent era and also acknowledged its role that it had played. But unfortunately, in today’s prospect where government system is wrecking yet the government demands to hold its control over media content through its imperious and inane broadcasting bill.

History had also witnessed such limitations on media during pre-independent era also. When Britishers, who feared that it might be proved as an effective and propitious tool to achieve independence, tried to impose some restriction on it. At that time also there was a huge uproar in media organizations, all were set to wrestle the administration. The earliest regulatory measure can be traced back to 1799, when Lord Wellesley formulated the Press Regulatory Act that had the effect of imposing pre-censorship on than newly formed publishing houses. On 18th June 1857, when revolt clouds were hovering over Britishers administration, at that time also to check press freedom they promulgated the Gagging Act, under which every small or big publishing house had to have a compulsory license of owing the press. It also banned the publication of that news story, editorials which might stir the furore against the government. All newspapers and publishing houses condemned the government act but only some had wimped out to protest against it. Thereafter in 1878,than General Lord Lytton proposed the Vernacular Press Act that had given power to government to seize; distroy and clamped down the circulation of any media and publishing house. To protest against the Act there was the vast uproar inside media organizations. To show their protest many news organization had left their editorial column blank. And now the time has again come when history is repeating itself and this time its not colonial policy preacher Britishers but it’s our own free India government. Which is in its full swing to take over charge on freedom of press through its draconian Broadcasting Bill-2007. This bill would give enormous power to government to “shift goalposts” on content and non-content issues. The recent proposed Broadcasting Bill will give the “central government the power to control and manage broadcasting services, or even suspend their operations, in instance like war or natural calamity of national magnitude”. In short it will empowers the government to choose the content of the news that it please or reject that story which might repels it. The bill also has the provision to impose a fine up to 25 lakh on any media group.

If this would be the restriction which government intends to impose on media than how will it ensure to save guard the press freedom? If any restriction has to be imposed it should come within the media groups not from government side.

We have to understand that for press there are many existent and effective limitations and restrictions. Those have been imposed by our constitution. Our constitution had realized the crucial significance of “Freedom of Press” and there by on 26th January 1950, it declared under Article19 (1)(a) that it empowers the press to disser the knowledge to the masses, The Constitution thus decides to safeguard the freedom of press. It also mentioned under it “ It is however mention that, such freedom is not absolute but is qualified with some limitations” (under Article19 (2) interest of public). Media therefore does not need any further restrictions from any Government whether Central or state or any other form of governance. It needs some restriction but it should be within media organizations not from any government’s intervention. Media needs to build its own code of conduct based on moral ethics and which must also goes straight with journalism ethics. We should also need to focus on, that in country like India where still sixty percent news comes from politics such laws will render a monopolistic approach to the government and media will be barred to cover issues which reveals government failure or its negligence.

The entire debate on “Should media need to be restricted” lies only on one prime factor that is String operation”. We also need to inculcate that string operations (As said-in journalism-text) is a last tool that a journalist can use to bring out the truth to public. “We need to admit that string operation belong to the muddy & murky back water of journalism, water you should venture into only if you are well guarded in tall booth and only when there are real crocodile to catch”, quotes Barkha Dutt- Managing Editor NDTV.
We also need to realize that string operations are the last tool for a journalist that should be used in rare cases to bring forth the truth. It’s not the case that string operations are always a fake. It is worth mentioning that foundation of any media organization lies in its creditability. Creditability of the news is a major factor that differentiates between bad and good journalism, expose and entrapment, fake / fabricated and authentic news story. If media were restricted then the chance of survival of string operations will become totally nil. Most string operations are done with consent of higher ombudsman of media group and most string operations are carried in the general public interest. We have an endless number of string operations, which had been carried for a social welfare cause. For example Tehelka exposed of political donations operate on a dangerous quid pro quo, the scam, which had revealed how many money matters to ask a question inside parliament or the latest BMW expose which, had brought out collusions between the defense and the prosecution in an high profile hit and run race. Some fake string operations that had tarnished the media ethics are the only outcome of hurry and race amongst media groups to bring out the “breaking news” first. This negligent behavior of some media groups is the only attributed that they don’t check and double-check their story before putting it on AIR.

Indian electronic media is still in its very nascent stage in comparison with other countries’ media. We need to give or grant them with some more time to electronic media to firm its base and formulates its own code of ethics and code of conduct. But this does not give liability to the government to intervene in the freedom of press. It is worth writing here what a veteran journalist cum anchor Debang has to say in this context. “When a child is admitted to a new course for a very first time than some are totally workaholic while some others choose to follow on pervert path”. The same is the situation with electronic media some channels are working worth appreciating and seriously while some has farcical desks.

Comparing Indian media with foreign media where media has quite established itself, the only difference between us is, that the foreign media (in course of time) has evolved its creditability as a main factor in selection of news while in India, it is the TRP fight amongst some news organizations which prompts them in rather silly selection of news story. Foreign veteran journalist Peter Jainig,Tom Grother and Don Broco writes in magazine Hans that in foreign, news anchors have maintained and established their creditability in the general audience mind and after 9/11 gruesome incident instead of politics 3-D feature that is Technology, Health and Sports have taken an edge. While in India it is still the three C- cricket, crime and cinema that conquer thousands of footage of camera reel. As it is in its nascent stage,Indian media has to yet realize its role in promoting developmental issues of the nation.

Indian electronic media might need some Laskman Rekha but that should not be imposed from outside media organizations. Government should have no role to play within media organizations, as it will defame it in years ahead. Media had brought out and revealed some of India government debacle through its investigative stories. It has also given a ray of hope to a rural India to address its plight to the government through them. Indigent child like prince could be saved only when media showed the case to public. We also have to acknowledged the role of media which it played in rendering justices to cases like Priyadarshi Matoo ,Jessica lal and Prof.Sabarwal . The justice could be only rendered to them when media campaigned for it. When it condemned the government failure in denouncing justice to them. It’s the media’s role that a veteran cricketer like Ricky Pointing had to beg pardon to national leader whom he insulted in front of cameras during some function. If media were to restrict than we could not witnessed some of brilliant case of success of Indian media.

Media should be granted some more time to develop and evolve its own code of conduct. Hopefully this will yield some desired and fruitful results but government is no way entitled to draw a Lakhman Rekha for media and if it would have to draw than, as said by Franklin D Roosevelt “ We would rather die on our feet than die on our knees”

tough of war

hey! to all!! yesterday my servant came rushing to me . He requested me to take him to market and get him new cloths. I asked him -why he want new one?? and he laughed and said "didi holi hai, apko ko toh na holi ki fekar na diwali ka intezaar..Ap log toh sirf kitab hi padha karte ho!" . At that time i said nothing to him but quitely took him to market and got him a set of new cloth.. The market was all teeming with bright colours and pickaries and other stuffs...
I suddenly thought what a weird celebration is this?? Painting our fellows face with multi colour gulal and than latter struggling to get it clear off!! really what a weird celebration is this?? but than again i was bit dazed thinking who is weird me or the world outside??
I hav read around 1000 kgs of book till now n hav gained much materialistic knowledge too! Now i prefer to have coffee over tea, pizza over paratha, parties over "tohhaar". I think its my and pretty much urtoo tough of warfor me between tradition, culture and "myself". Why we are not allowed to do what we want, what pleases me rather than to the world outside..Why are we more bothered about our society fake happiness than our enthereal contentment!! And who is weird me or the world outside. I really have no enthusiam for holi but is maniacly waithing for my xmas that are due in april...
When will this tough of war will get over between our tradition and myself?? between our societies' mindset and my point of view. And why is the unruly and ignorant waits in such "hyper" way for any festivals..Why are we left with demnishing energy to celebrate the festival??? Why??why??why??
come to my rescue,
